I'm looking for a special Grade 5 bolts 7/16 diameter and about 6-8 inch in length. I've tried every where, shure I've found some at lowes, or HD, but they were either too short, or too strong ie. grade 8 , I've heard that theres a place called san antonio nuts and bolts, but I cant seem to find it.

You might try some of the places that specialize in industrial fasteners. Ace Bolt & Screw on Brooklyn might be a good place to start.

I can't guarantee that all of these places sell to individual retail customers, and they may have a minimum quantity or dollar amount, but it's worth a try. They may be more likely to sell smaller quantities over-the-counter to "cash and carry" customers.

There's a place on Boardwalk, right off Broadway. It may be the place you're talking about. It's an industrial park North of 410. Going North, just before Bitters.....turn left on Boardwalk. I think it's down on the right toward the end of the block. Not sure they have what you want. Wish I could remember the name so you could call. Rhone or something? Sorry!

There is also a place at 5411 Bandera Road called Fastenal Company, just south of 410 on the left side as you are heading south. They specialize in nuts and bolts, and what they don't have they can get.

If that isn't close to you, then try any of these places...

Cheers! M2

When I worked at McCoy's Lumber down just a block or two from there that's where we would send people if they couldn't find what they were looking for. That's where I would suggest. They seem to have everything.

Try Ace. I've had great luck with the one on Military Dr NW just a bit inward from Wurzbach Pkwy. Never had a bolt they didn't stock - even oddball German and Sweedish car metric stuff.

McCoys also has good stuff like that, and from what I've experienced the people they hire seem to know a lot more about what they're selling than HD / Lowes.
