Thanks everyone....I called that Air Filter Store, BN, and they gave me a quote. I'll have to decide with my hubby what we'll do next.

Great link. One thing you will notice in the diagram is that this shows a rigid central trunk - some are made of sheet metal and some of fiberglass insulation board. These are much easier to clean than flext duct and hold up better to cleaning equipment than old flex duct which can become brittle and easily tear.

Most production builders (and most custom builders) in Texas use flex duct. If you have a one story home - these are very easy to replace and if you do it yourself are cheaper than paying to have the ducts cleaned.
