Possible Move to San Antonio
I will be interviewing for a promising position for a company in the SA area on Monday.
I just spoke with the CEO and CTO of the company and they were pretty excited about the prospect of me coming on board because I not only fit every requirement I exceeded their expectations in other areas as well.
If I get the position I will be moving down there and wondered if it is possible to live outside the city in one of the smaller towns and commute? Preferably in the beautiful hill country outside the city.
Coming from the Fort Worth area, are living expenses in SA reasonable compared the DFW area?
Thanks in advance!

Great! Thanks. I am pumped about the opportunity of living in San Antonio. We've lived in the DFW area for 20 years and although we like it here, it's time for a change.

I typed you a loooong response, but was not logged in and lost it. boerne is great if it does not make your commute too long. also check out fair oaks ranch and san antonio proper up on i-10. if you need to be more on the east, look at new braunfels, schertz, san marcos, etc.

Keep in mind,
everybody wants to live in the Hill Country.
The good thing is that there's plenty of it North and NW of SA.

I'm sure. It's a popular place. The Hill Country would be a bonus, but more than anything I am just tired of living in a huge metropolitan area. I'm a country boy at heart.
