Thanks for the suggestions but she just ate at Acadiana on Wednesday and Olive Garden is definitely out. She is not a real big seafood fan so we probably won't go to Sea Island. If ya'll could give me some more ideas that are not chains, that would be great. I want to take her someplace she usually does not go on her own but not too fancy. Is Ding How still good?

Well, from 151 to I 10, you got choices, from Carino's, Cracker Barrel, Texas Roadhouse, Bennigans, Outback, Red Lobster, and if you like more quiet atmosphere, you have right there off Fredericksburg, La Fonda or just the other side of I-10, La Fogata if you prefer mexican food. (just to name a few in the neighborhoods)

You don't want to take her downtown? Eat at Rosarios or La Foccacia? How about good Chinese at Golden Wok on Wurzbach?

She doesn't want chains. It would be nice if she'd said that in her OP, but meh, too late. She did come back and say it later.

Tiagos is very nice. Prices are reasonable. And if you have ever enjoyed anything with chocolate in it, try thier mexican chocolate cake. Thier beef fajitas are very good but I stay away from thier chicken as it seems to dry in my opinion. If you get her there before 7 they have some great margaritas. It is a chain but I think a small one. I take my family there about once a month and have never been disappointed. (I had a combo, beef/chicken, fajitas when I tried the chicken so I still had enough food to keep me happy)...they are at 151 and 410

Oh, I forgot about La Fogata. Hmmm...

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. We will have to see which way the wind blows tomorrow. Thanks.

I'm surprised by how often La Fogata is overlooked. I love it. We used to drive from San Marcos to eat there. Is it still popular in San Antonio?
