Default Places to run near Seaworld.

I am just north of Seaworld. Anyone know a good track to run at?

I don't know about a track....but OP Schnabel park has some trails - and it isn't too far from you. When I run, though, I usually just run in my neighborhood.

When I need a track (say, to calibrate the footpod on my HRM) I go to the track at John Paul Stevens High School on Potranco. You may want to check it out.

I don't get it. You're in suburbia - you're supposed to DRIVE everywhere (except the quarter-mile walk across the parking lot into the Super Wal-Mart).

I am in the process of coming down from a high of 280 pounds to my target of 208, which is the military entrance max. Regardless if I decide to enlist, I believe I should be at least fit enough to do so.

I've been surprised that more high schools don't have tracks - where we moved from every junior high and high school had a track around their practice field.

Isn't that huge NISD stadium around there?

Best wishes to you!!

ANd if you find a good spot, let me know. I am getting SICK of driving to the gym to go for a run. My neighborhood is too small for a decnt run. If I have to run past my house, I'll stop. LOL

Warren High School on Military Drive West (just East of Hunt Lane) has a track. I'm not sure if they'll let you use it though.
