It is in the middle of our community and we'd like to keep our community the way it is thank you very much. We enjoy not having traffic and developers raping the land.

My husband and I are thinking of moving back to SA after 2 years in NY, the cold here is too much Can anyone tell me if each community within Alamo Ranch has it's own recreation facilities and pool or is there a common area. After reading your threads it's alot bigger than I had at first thought.

I live in Pulte's Woodbury Grant. It's gated and very friendly! We do have a great swimming complex, soccer fields and community center. I noticed that DR Horton also advertises a community center. Not sure about the others. Maybe people who live there will have some suggestions. I love this area. Great shopping and restaurants to open soon in addition to what's already in the area. Welcome back!

The Hills at Alamo Ranch (co-developed by Medallion and Meritage) will share the community center in the neighboring Ryland area.

Riverstone at Alamo Ranch (D.R. Horton) has a junior olympic-sized pool, basketball court, and slides/swings/bars for the kiddies.

I'm down with the slides and swings, but those kids should be at least 13 or 14 before they're allowed in the bars.

I sometimes "help" my daughter (almost 4) with the bars, but she quickly gets bored and wants to go back down the slides. Some of those bars are spread pretty far apart--it's difficult for me to get across at times.

As long as there is direct adult supervision (meaning, right next/under the child) I don't see a problem. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion...

It's definitely better when the bars are close together, a la 6th Street. That way you don't have to call a cab, and if you've really had a lot you can just stumble to the next one.

I agree on the direct adult supervision. Sometimes the bartender seems to know I'm buying the drink for my kid, but I just tell them it's for me and they don't question it.

Looks like someone had some play time at the bars this morning. Just be careful on the slides, k?
