Does anyone know any mariachi trio's that would play for 30 minutes at a family party? We're looking for a guitar, trumpet and violin trio possibly. Were not looking for an expensive type mariachi...just good, maybe high school kids who sound great. Any recommendations and your experience with them? Thanks..Happy Easter!

Mariachi Trio Los Yaquis

I have used these guys three times now for work events. Very happy with their performance, attitude and fee.

My father in law is in Los Yaquis, so I am biased, but they are good and reasonable. They played my wedding, and my husband sent them to my work as a surprise for my birthday.

Default Mariachi Trio

So who did you ultimately use? How were they? How much $$?

Looking for a trio to play for an hour at a very small Fiesta party, but don't know who to call?

Any feedback on your experience would be helpful.

I can refer you to several all female mariachis here in SA. Mariachi Las Altenas are some of the best and have a respectable resume to prove it. Also Mariachi Damas de Jalisco. both groups can do either full 8 pieces or smaller scale such as trio, quartet etc etc. Both can be found on facebook or just by going to google. If you want to hear samples, head over to Youtube and search for some of their public performances.

I would recommend just that! Try contacting music teachers at high schools in SAISD or SSISD, I know both have HS with very good mariachi programs.
