My husband was raised in Alton, Ill-which is just east of St. Louis across the bridge there. He confirms that it does get very humid and often over 100 degrees indeed .
Glad to hear that San Antonio is tolerable and we are looking forward to moving there later this year.

It's one thing to get a forecast; it's another thing to get a personal perspective on the weather. That's what the OP was looking for... weather.com doesn't offer that.

My experience with weather.com has been that it's wrong 97% of the time. The local newscasters are wrong about 94% of the time......Anthony's WAYYYYYYY better.

agreed. Anthony, is it true that the weather channel relies exclusively on computer models to forecast and the local weathermen use models and their own judgment and experience? That would explain why the weather channel is almost always way off and their forecasts change dramatically a few times a day

Yep. When I moved to San Antonio from St. Louis 12 years ago in June, the San Antonians were all, "Our summers are hot! Our summers are humid! Just wait!" Uh, yeah.
The biggest difference is that it does cool off more in the evenings and overnight in St. Louis. And summers in St. Louis don't last from April 'til the end of October.
But it does certainly get hot and HUMID. I always say it's that humid in the lower midwest b/c of all the corn and beans breathing.
