It's a kind of chilly 57 here in the DFW area. I have a second interview with a company in SA this week for a full-time position.

Is it really hotter in SA than DFW? Actually, I thought it would be slightly cooler because there would be less of a "heat island" effect, even though it is further South.

you are exactly right about the heat island! I swear 100 degrees here feels cooler than 90 in dallas. the air is also drier, so it cools off more easily at night. so, not sure how the actual temps compare, but it does feel cooler here in the summer and warmer in the winter. much better climate than dfw, imo.

That's what I was thinking, that SA is actually cooler in the Summer than DFW. I'm glad to hear that. Although I'm accustomed to the heat, I really didn't want to move to a hotter climate than it is here.

I also like the lower humidity in San Antonio. I LOVE low humidity!

Thanks for the replies folks. You've set this boy's mind at ease!

My wife is concerned about our first summer here,
but I keep on telling her that there's noway in hell is more humid than in St. Louis.

To put it in few words, the humidity in St. Louis always reminded of the few times I visited Miami.

Oh noooo -- my mom has lived in St. Louis since 2001. She desperately wants to move back to Texas. Summers in St. Louis -- ick!
