Default Looking for a Tour Guide

Coming to SA next week from the 22nd to the 27th and looking for somebody to show me around town for a day. Looking into relocating but I don't know a soul in Texas. I'm visiting the tourist spots (riverwalk, alamo, etc.) on my own but would love to have someone who knows the neighborhoods and mom and pop joints.

Will pay plus gas and food expenses.

I know Craigslist is around for this type of post but I'm looking for someone with enthusiasm and love for the city. After over a year on this board I know there's a few of those here.

You can reach me at:

Hope you enjoy your stay! Here's a link to tour guides galore!

In case you missed it, you are coming to SA smack dab in the middle of Fiesta. Maybe you planned it that way? If not, know that all things San Antonio will be busy, festive, crowded and a bit crazy. LOTS going on all across the city. Friday the 24th is even a very rare CITY HOLIDAY! Yep....downtown and many businesses close into town will be closed or running on a skeleton crew. All the schools are out too!

Here is a link to a calendar of Fiesta events.... Fiesta San Antonio :: Fiesta 2009 Official Website

Happy touring!

If you were a blonde with some big bouncers, you'd have about 15 volunteers by now. With a screen name like "DaveBrown"...pickins might be a lil slim...

Hi Dave,

I actually work with 3 different certified tour guides for a portion of the work I do.

They work an average of 16 weeks out of the year with me, I have been working with each of them for 3 years and would recommend each of them.

Two of them are already working for me for Fiesta, however, one may be available.

Please send me your information and I can get you two in touch.

He is fantastic and very knowledgeable and well connected to SA.

Hey I see from your MySpace that you're a trucker. Do you have satellite radio and if so do you listen to the Jason Ellis show on Sirius channel 28 or XM channel 52?

Weird question, Dube.

I saw some people on those Segways the other day doing a tour downtown. That looked like fun! And you're guaranteed to see a lot of stuff and not to have sore feet at the end of the day. Not sure if this was the company but here's a link for one that does them: SegCity Segway Tours & Sales of San Antonio, Austin & Galveston
