Thanks, everyone. Are The Missions a minor league affiliate of the Astros? Do they play in the city? And Bowie, is NFL coverage lopsided because the Cowboys get all the press, rather than the Texans? I should soon get on to my more pressing questions, in a new thread, although of course, baseball is life.

I think the Missions are part of the San Diego Padres.

Lots of Cowboy coverage and the Round Rock (outside Austin) Express is a farm league for the Astros. The stadium they play in is lots of fun, has a pool and lots of stuff for the kids. But the Missions were fun just a gritter type of fun than the Express.LOL Fun either way!

The Missions are a AA affiliate of the Padres. That's a close enough relationship that you WILL see Missions from the past couple years playing for the Pads. It's good baseball!

And yes, the Missions are here in San Antonio. Had you posted this thread in March, I would've told you to go buy tix for the exhibition game against the Padres.

Baseball IS life.
