Continuing heading towards Medina and past that it will take you all the way into Kerrville. Cross under IH-10 and head north, and 16 will take you all the way to Fredericksburg. Keep going north and when you hit Eckert, make a right on RR 1323 to get to Willow City and the Loop, or stay on 16 for a little longer and take RR 965 on your left to Enchanted Rock. Continue north on 16 and you'll get to Llano, San Saba and on and on and on; but it never goes into Dallas!

Cheers! M2
Roger that. Hwy 16 almost makes it to Wichita Falls (joins Hwy 281 northwest of Jacksboro). Hwy 16 also goes all the way south to Zapata near the Mexican border.

It's a nice little drive, and BEAUTIFUL. 337 is more winding than 470.
There is a river that runs through Vanderpool, you can pack a picnic lunch and just pull over at the river.
We drove on 470 today. Nice view. Saw the usual bikers and 21 Corvettes heading toward Bandera. Turned left on 187 and went to Utopia and then down to Sabinal.
