I'm here in San Antone for business this week. I'm cursing the district manager for not warning me and my colleagues about the goings on here. Is there any way to escape PEOPLE and have a quiet meal with business associates?

Just stay away from downtown. Plenty of places to go.

Not this week...unless you go away from downtown...hehe. Enjoy Spurs and Fiesta week...you couldn't have come at a better time.
Unfortunately, I'm out of town on business (San Francisco).

Get outside of 410. That's the best option. You won't be able to get the cool "San Antonio" feel, but much more chill and non-Fiesta in the suburbs of town.

Just whaere or what area are you staying? That'll tell a better way to get away from it all. Are you at a downtown hotel? Depending on where in the city depends on what direction or where it's easier to go to get away.

In April in San Antonio, everybody's a Spurs fan. So, you can either wear black and silver and get with the program at a sports bar, or you can wear a nice flowery crown with curly ribbon, and find the carnival, because it's Fiesta! Your choice.

Seriously, I was out all weekend and didn't run into any big crowds--I even drove right past Oyster Bake on Saturday and didn't see a crowd. It was kinda early, though. I would think anywhere away from the Riverwalk/DT areas would be fine.

You ought to be thankful, this is like Mardi Gras, most people couldnt get a room no matter how hard they tried. There is a lot to do in SA this week that is not tied to Fiesta. Just venture away from Downtown.
