Looking for the best price and not a scammer. I buy things at auction and got a box of gold jewelry recently that I'd like to sell. Nothing very fancy or expensive - just a bunch of assorted gold items.

Also looking for a place to sell silver jewelry as well.

I'm on the NE side of town off walzem, but don't mind traveling as long as it's on a VIA route.

There's a place in North Star Mall I've heard advertised that buys gold and claims to pay a few times more than the mail order places will pay. I don't remember its name at the moment, but since buying gold and silver is all they do, it shouldn't be hard to find.

I think WOAI or KSAT did a new story on this a few months ago. May check their websites, as the story mentioned a few stores that they "tested" for prices. I think one of the better ones was the coin place on Commerce.

If you can do not sell gold. If you have too, the only place that is safe is an exchange or a bank. Don't be scammed .

Default Gold for Cash?

I have a lot of old gold jewelry and keep hearing about how you can exchange it for cash! I have heard a place advertise at NorthStar Mall, but can't remember the name of the store. Has anyone ever done this before? Anyone know the name of the store? I can't find it on the Northstar website.

You'll get the most for it on E-bay. People typically over pay. Yes, I'm in the business. Just make sure you send it securely (Registered Mail) if you have a decent amount.

You can even list your item high on E-Bay. People will use their cashback and coupons opportunities..allowing you to get even more for your metal.

does anyone know if the price of gold went up??? i have a fair amount of 22k gold that i had appraised a few weeks ago --- the guy offered me $600 or so for it --- i didn't sell though...

later that day i told my mom about the offer and she said she heard the price of gold was supposed to go up soon...i'm wondering if it's gone up in the past 4weeks or so...

Where did you go to get the appraisal? I need to have some jewelry appraised.
