Default Thinking of attending Baptist School of Nursing

Hi:
I am single, middle-aged, african-american woman thinking of relocating to San Antonio to attend Baptist School of Registered Nursing this fall.
Has anyone attended this program?, and if so, what are your impressions? Is there alot of driving to get to the various clinical sights? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

dont know the answer to your question, but just wanted to welcome you to the RN profession! most portable career there is, you will never be unemployed, and the income you can make is only limited by your desire and energy level. you may be surprised to find out the income potential out there. i have many colleagues who have made over 100,000 a year with overtime. me, i am too lazy to work THAT much, but i get pretty close to it with a little OT here and there. you will LOVE it! good luck!

I'm in the San Antnio College ADN program and I'm impressed with it so far. I've heard good things about Baptist, too, but don't have any details. My current clinical instructor was with the Baptist program for 26 years. She's great, but no longer with them. Your age/race shouldn't be an issue for any nursing school around here. We have a little bit of everything and everyone seems to work well together.
