Hey y'all,

we are new in SA, and though not one for the crowds I'd like to drag the hubby at least to the Flambeau parade.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good place to watch without buying tickets, and where to park?

Is there any royalty in the Flambeau?

Thanks for your help!

In front of your tv. Seriously, we've always gotten tickets so I don't even know what to tell you about that.

As far as parking, you can take park and ride for $5.00 a person round trip - that'll save you any parking hassles if you don't know where you're going.

Yes, there's royalty in the Flambeau, but if I recall, not the Order of the Alamo royalty. I think it's the visiting royalty in Flambeau (Strawberry Festival, Peanut Festival, Watermelon Thump, etc.). I honestly don't remember about the other local royalty.

(I just googled real quick for the lineup but couldn't find it - sorry. I do know Bruce McGill of Animal House fame is the grand marshal. )

I want to say that the only Order of the Alamo royalty in the Flambeau is the Queen, who, along with King Antonio, is at the front of the parade so that they can skedaddle to the Queen's Ball. But there's plenty more royalty where that came from, as LindaGrace said.
