Right? I can't see them shutting down either - but I bet there are LOTS of kids that would hope they would!

It is TAKS for everyone in Texas this week, including the district that is closed. That should be a sobering thought for everyone; no way was this decision made without a lot of thought.

Yep, and my son was smooshed on airplanes for four different flights through Atlanta...and sat around there for a few hours, too.

Time to refresh the hand-washing, no-face-touching, don't share water bottles rules! Oh, and don't forget your vitamins (fwiw!)

Isn't this just a regular flu that can be treated with typical flu medicine? The only big thing is there isn't a vaccine.

Is the media just (like always) blowing this out of proportion?

This is not seasonal flu..this is swine flu a different virus a new one.
About 90 dead in Mexico from this but none anywhere else..that seems to be puzzling the WHO and the CDC. Something to watch and not dismiss as media hype but not something to panic over.

He (the pastor) said "God isn't going to let me get anything he can't control". Yeah, that thinking saved many from the yellow fever and every other virus that has ever killed mankind. I'm just glad this strain is responding to Tamiflu.
