Same thing here- I asked all three of my kids if the school talked about it at all, they said no-but their friends talked about it---can you imagine the exaggeration of those conversations...

My Dad was at the VA hospital today getting his chemo port put in and said they were handing out face masks to people who came into the hospital. I wonder if other hospitals are doing the same in San Antonio?

That just sounds prudent in case someone does come in with possible swine flu..wouldn't want them infecting the rest of the patients in the hospital.

Comal ISD - Swine Flu
We just received an Auto-Call from Comal ISD telling us that All Comal ISD schools & all New Braunfels ISD schools are closed until at least Monday. They said there are 3 highly probable cases and many more pending cases that they expect to be positive. I'm not sure if they meant Monday the 4th or the 11th. I could swear I heard both in the message but it's not up yet on the website.

So how many of these people simply have your everyday flu? Sounds like some serious knee-jerk reactions to me.

Had to make a visit to the trauma follow up clinic today at University Hospital. They share the waiting area with the walkin express med clinic. It was like a can of sardines. Maybe 50-70 people there (as usual) ....many coughing and sick but we only saw about six people wearing masks. Not including us! They were easily available and in sight on the counter.
