We moved to the San Antonio area June 2006 from California. I miss Trader Joe's and was hoping they would have one soon. We now live in Converse and those areas are pretty easy for us to get to. I go to the VA clinic at 1604 and Gold Canyon so I know about where this is. I sure hope they will be building one soon. We used to go there every week. I don't like Central Market or Gucci B's as everyone tells me it's called. They are snooty in there.

I am moving there this winter & have already made arrangements to have my "standard" TJ grocery list (pantry & health items) sent to me there by my mom, since you can't place orders online. I will be bummed if SA does not end up getting a TJ this summer.

Default I LOVE Trader Joe's

And they will have to have an ad campaign in which they state that shopping at Trader Joe's "is the Texan thing to do." Then the lemmings will go, "Oh, okay, I guess it's good then."

H.E.B. has added these Central Market selections at I-10 and deZavala too, I think.
That's not true. I'm from TX and love Trader Joe's and frequent them in another state. All the Texan pride is due to the 6 flags over Texas and No - I'm not talking about the amusement parks. Look it up and you will understand. You may not agree but at least you will have a frame of reference.

Careful, I know where you LIVE!!!! LOL

And with all those soccer games and activities the kiddos have you going to all the time, don't be too shocked if you come home one day and the only thing missing from your house is ANYTHING with a Trader Joe's label on it!!!! LOL

Glad he is home soon, know you and the kiddos are looking forward to having him home a while!

ROFLOL!! Well, considering that alot of what he'll be bringing home will be consumed Thanksgiving day (TJ's stuffing mix, organic pumpkin {pies, pumpking bread}, poultry seasoning, whole pecans, hmmmmmmm....what else was on that darned list??? Just wish he had a way to bring home a Tofurkey! But with a 9ish hour flight....don't think so. And I'm really looking forward to the "Dark Chocolate Drizzled Peppermint Caramel Corn"!!!! That'll make great teacher's presents, too! Only 5 bucks for a cute tube of the stuff!)

Although I won't hold my breath for it, I'd sure love it if we could get a TJ's here. One of the cool things about TJ's is that it's meant to be a "neighborhood grocery store". But I'd travel clear across town for it! (Heck, I'm even "ordering" from Everett, WA!!)

Oh, and yeah, otherhalf will be home for Thanksgiving, and then back up for at least another month, may have to go back up again after Christmas. Joy. I tell ya, his "honeydo" list is really long this trip home!!

I put TJ and Panera in the same category. Lots of hype but overrated!
