Trader Joe's coming to San Antonio?
Word is the first location will be at the Tacara development at 1604 and Stone Oak Parkway.
This is said to be one of the reasons HEB started adding Central Market selections to their store at 1604 and Blanco.

The word is or rumor is? There has been some debate on the Austin forum about getting a TJ's there. I would be very happy if SA did get a TJ's sooner than later, and multiple sites would be awesome! IMO Central Market product can't compete with TJ's products, and if TJ's did come to SA I wouldn't even have to shop at HEB anymore at all.

Yes Trader Joe's is great. But someone needs to warn them that to get their foot in the door in Texas, they will have to put Texas maps on walls, or on their tortilla chips, sell Texas shaped frozen waffles (yes, I've seen those) or write "For Texas Taste" in big letters over the dairy case, because people here won't embrace anything that doesn't have the word "Texas" or its image emblazoned on it. And they will have to have an ad campaign in which they state that shopping at Trader Joe's "is the Texan thing to do." Then the lemmings will go, "Oh, okay, I guess it's good then."

Seriously though, a TJ's would be really nice here and would go over really well in Texas. Hope they hurry and build it!!!
