I am looking for a place for my folks. My mom is 81 and my dad is 83. My mom still drives and does a pretty good job of it.
We are wanting a place that has individual homes (for sale), offers 3 meals a day, exercise and other activities.
The main issue is the home. We have been unable to find a place where the home can be bought.
Thanks for your help.

I know that Independence Hill (Stone Oak) offers several levels of care/assistance, and that they do have individual homes, as well as apartments:

Friends of ours have a parent here, but they do not offer the house option, AFAIK:

Actually Independence Hill does offer a one story cottage type home .. You purchase it from them and when you don't require it anymore you sell it back to them minus a percentage... I don't remember the details but you can contact them and they will explain how it works. Independence Hill is a very nice facility and grounds and the staff is extremely accommodating. My father was happy there and made some friends.

Is there something like an apartment locator for assisted living??? Or would a realtor be able to help?

I was just thinking that that would be helpful...
