Too bad none lead to downtown. I'd like to be able to bike from UTSA Main campus to dowtown on the greenway
I've only used the Leon Creek Greenway and though it has a few years until it's completed it is nice. It connects to at least 3 different parks along the way. I'd like to see it connect with La Cantera and The Rim by extending it north about 2 miles past 1604.
Also if trails were added to Maverick Creek (runs along Babcock on UTSA propoerty) there would be a full loop. A nice set of off-road bike trails make SA much more attractive and encourage physical acitivity. It could be similar to the Buffalo Bayou trails in Houston.

When I get back from the ride I am leaving on in five minutes I will have hit 3 out of 4 of those linear creek ways in the last 3 days. The land acquired for their development has opened up a lot of natural surface trails for mountain bikers and hikers!!

I left my house on my Mountain bike and road 22miles following the linear creekway today. They are actively extending the Leon Creek portion South from Bandera road towards Devils Den/Loop 410 and North from Babcock to Hausemen road..
Goofing on some rocks in the old Devils Den area today.

Does anyone know if SA has looked at the creek bed Just outside 1604 between NW Military HWY and Bitters? I want to say it would just be a northerly extension of the Salado Creek trails.

I ride Salado Creek by Wurzbach and Blanco. I haven't seen the connection leading to McAllister park. Can someone cue me to where to pick up that leg?

It's not built yet. It probably won't go in until the Wurzbach Parkway extension across 281 is constructed, since it will be adjacent and follow nearly the same route.

I've only used the Leon Creek Greenway and though it has a few years until it's completed it is nice. It connects to at least 3 different parks along the way. I'd like to see it connect with La Cantera and The Rim by extending it north about 2 miles past 1604.
