Default Need pest control for new house

I'm closing on my house today and I was wondering if you guys could recommend an exterminator/pest control.
I’m buying a new house and I was told by a friend that I should go ahead and get an exterminator to get rid of all the bugs in the house.
I’m gonna try to make an appointment for tomorrow (Wed.) or Thursday.

We use Bulwark Exterminating and have no complaints.

Circle S, they use a non-toxic, plant based pesticide with great results!

Who's the builder? Does your house have Taexx pipes?

I also have a new home and recently hired Hometeam. They'll come out for free anytime you see a bug (its part of their warranty).

We started using BulWark last week and so far so good. It's just that it works out to be a little over $400 for a year's worth of service and we're under contract- we can cancel next May. We paid $87 for the first service- sprayed all over and set traps outside, in garage and in attic for the mice that moved in with our storage boxes. It's about $48 per month for June, July and August. The same cost for ever other month until May next year. They even will come back to make "free" service calls as needed and they will return on Thursday or Friday to remove the mice in the traps.

Just do it yourself. When we bought our new house I set off foggers in the attic, garage and in the interior. I also sprayed the outside with the poison you buy at Home Depot and mix in a garden sprayer. I expect I pay about $75/year. We have no bugs.

Umm...yeah...mine was a hasty decision I just got so dang frustrated from asking the husband to set the traps please, set the traps please, set the traps PLEASE! Bulwark was going door to door and got me at a weak moment. My weakness is a tad bit expensive. We'll live with the cost- but the mice won't. Mwah, ha ha. Mwah ha ha!!

I use Earthwise Organic Pest Control (San Antonio's Organic Pest Control) and they are fabulous. When I bought my house (an older 1920s home) I found the previous owners had allowed a roach problem to fester and I was completely grossed out. Earthwise put traps around the exterior AND under the house, sprayed/dusted everywhere in the house and even took apart some of my cabinets to get to problem areas. The problem was so bad that they came back out to re-treat twice at NO CHARGE and now I have them out here quarterly (about $120 per quarter for a 2500sf house).

I have not seen one roach since they started treating the place and none of the telltale signs (roach poop... eewwwww). I really like that Earthwise truly is organic, and I know my dog won't get sick if she accidentally licks a sprayed surface and I'm not breathing that stuff into my lungs. They treat for all types of pests depending on what's in your area (scorpions, mice, bugs, etc.).
