I had been a fan of carls when I lived in Socal, espec. the day of a hangover. I tasted a sta fe chicken sandwich the other day at their perrin beitel location and found it to be overpriced ($$) and saturated with dressing and a small piece of chicken. They even changed the french fries and were skimpy on those too. If this is what carls jr has to offer us here in SA, I think that whataburger dominance is pretty safe.

I was always underwhelmed by Hardee's, which is the mostly-east-of-the-Mississippi burger chain by the same parent company. That's why I've never tried Carl's Jr.

California Carl's Jr.'s are pretty good. Virginia Hardee's are food of the demons. Awful, awful. I haven't been to a Carl's Jr. here, but since I discovered how awesome Longhorn is last weekend, I'm through with fast-food burgers. Well, till next time, of course.

Had a Western Bacon Cheeseburger at Carl's Jr in Oklahoma last week and it was awesome! I too grew up in SoCal and lived of Carl's Jr. I've yet to try it here in SA but my brother seems to eat there quite a bit and says it good.

The one over here at Naco/O'Connor never disappoints me, is as great as the ones in SoCal IMO

I love their burgers. Hate their fries/onion rings.

Never had Carl's til recently, I think the $6 burgers are very good. I haven't had the chicken. I think the fried zuchinni is a nice option. The new orange shakes are great!

yeah I'm a fan.
Tried the one on Perrin and 410 and was really dissappointed.
Rings and Fries were old and cold.
This never never happened to me in SoCal CJ's. (The were always consistant)
Then when I called, no one answered.
Big Boo!

Hardee's was only purchased by Carl's, Jr. in the past decade - it was well established for decades prior to that. Carl's has integrated some of their menu into Hardee's, though. I hated Carl's Jr when I lived in LA in the 80s, but I have had two good experiences at the new one here in SA.
