Default How To Sell A Vehicle in SA (or Bexar County)

I searched this forum, and couldn't find any answers. Maybe someone can help me out.

I have a couple of vehicles that I want to put up for sale, but before I do so I want to have all necessary forms in-hand. What needs filled out, and what steps do I need to take? If it makes a difference, one vehicle is a SUV and the other is a motorcycle. I have both titles, no liens, in my possession.

Thanks in advance

Post it on craigslist. It's free, and usually sells pretty quickly if it's priced right.

I was planning on posting it to craigslist. My main concern is with the legal forms I need to fill out, and what steps I need to take afterwards.

Craigslist is certaintly the way to go for me.

I assume you have been to the Texas DOT website here: http://www.txdot.gov/drivers_vehicles/vehicle_titles/faqs.htm

Here is essentialy what you will need. I'd print (2) copies of the Bill of Sale so you can keep one for your records. The other form goes with the buyer so the title can be transferred. Good luck with the sale!

1. Bill of Sale (generic)- http://co.jefferson.tx.us/taxoffice/...BillofSale.pdf

2. Vehicle Title Transfer (Form 130-U) - http://www.dot.state.tx.us/txdotefor...vletConfig.xml

yes, the bill of sale, or just sign the title on the back, odometer statement too, if the vehicle is less than 10yrs old
