I haven't found any private campgrounds that are both affordable and pleasant. Lots of concrete slab in a field type of campsites have reasonable rates, which would be fine for an overnight stay while RVing somewhere, but any campsite with decent accommodations or attractions seem to be pretty outrageously priced.

Easy Camper And Timeout Camper - Motorcycle Camping Trailer

wasn't sure where I could post this!! Check this thing out!!! OMG, it's got to the cutest, coolest thing I have ever seen in campers yet. make sure and watch the video of how to set it up and the one for accessories. That screen room is huge. You can even put an a/c in the main part of the tent area.

There is no excuse not to own a camper now!

Wow, that's cool. Only problem I would have is that my two teenage daughter's stuff alone would fill it up. That is my biggest complaint when we go camping, their stuff is EVERYWHERE!! Who needs all that when your camping??!!

Hey do any of you know much about this place? Camp Huaco Springs I called to check on tent camping only sites and they are walk up. We, like the OP, are looking for an easy family place with just an old fashioned tent set up. They were so nice when I called and was just wondering if anyone on here had experiences here?

We stayed on River road a few months agao ( 2nd crossing) and had a blast. it was just the two of us and it was right on the road . I mean you could feel the cars go by but it was also right on the water. The waters not very deep where you are but you can sit and watch the tubers go by. It going to be very crowded this time of year and there is going to be lots of drinking. As long as your ok with that, go for it. We plan on going back after school starts but to another place.

Hope this helps..

boomgirl79 is on a distinguished road
Went to Guadalupe River State Park this weekend. What a gorgeous campground! However, it is Saturday night and I'm home on the computer-we had reservations until tomorrow! It was SOOOO hot! By 4pm, we were all so crabby that we just packed it up!

We'll be going back, though! They had a great bug presentation for kids that my hubby took my son to in the morning. Lots of fun.
