(Add sobbing here) Within literally 12 seconds that my back was turned, my wonderful, wonderful, wonderful (said with extreme sarcasm) 5 year old just gave her younger sister a haircut. My beautiful baby now has a mullet and bald spots on the top of her head.

Anyone know of a great kids stylist / salon on the far north side / Stone Oak area?? I normally cut my own kids' hair, but this is beyond me. I don't even know where to start in fixing this.

(Okay...breath in, breath out. It will grow back. Just relax. Do not strangle 5-year-old child. Do not strangle 5-year-old child. Research boarding schools -- yes!! Strangulation -- no.)

OMG!! I forgot all about that!!! Wow, she's more vindictive then I thought.

If her head starts to spin all the way around and she begins spewing green slime, then I think I really might be in trouble. Forget the stylist...anyone do exorcisms???

OK....first BREATH! This is something MOST siblings do...my girls ALSO managed to get the curling iron wrapped in one of their hair...and did not bother to tell me UNTIL it was burning thru....and her hair was LONG! Not only did it burn it right off almost at her scalp line, but the house smelled like burnt hair for DAYS! They never thought to UNPLUG the curling iron as they wrestled with it!!!

I know that you are going to think I am crazy, but FIRST...get your camera and get a picture of this. Trust me, there WILL come a time when you will laugh about this...relive this moment with them AND tell their children about it...but after you stop crying, try and remember...these are precious memories...even if they ARE difficult to accept at first.

Then find someone to correct the new style, and go and have ice cream and laugh with your kids about it. We teach our children how to react to things by the way we react...you could not give them a better gift as a mom than to teach them to make lemonade when life throws lemons!

AMEN! Just take pictures and know this is going to be hysterical one day.

Heck, it's funny now. It's not like they're going to a job interview tomorrow. There are plenty of kid cut places all over and they probably see several of these a week.

Sorry I can't help but it took me back many years ago when my then about 8 yr old sister took a razor to her eyebrows. One was 3/4 gone and the other 1/2 gone! No eyebrow pencil here.....mom made her walk around like that till they grew out.
