Lunch at Sapore's Pizza on Friday - it was AMAZING. I'd never even heard of the place, despite it being a block away from my hair salon. We had the margherita pizza and it was incredible! We also shared a piece of tiramisu - it didn't disappoint! Mmmmmmmmmmmmm! I'll DEFINITELY go back.

Jamba Juice (281 & Stone Oak) - the blackberry bliss smoothie is pretty darn good. And yes, with the calorie count in a Jamba Juice, it has to count as a meal...

Last restaurant I ate at: Grady's on Bandera for lunch. I had catfish and half a basket of fried mushroom. The catfish was good as always. The mushrooms are apparently a new thing. Very good and served extremely hot right out of the fryer. The roof of my mouth is still scorched, 5 hours later. They come with gravy like you would put over a chicken fried steak. Forget that: get the honey mustard and dip away. Awesomely good.

I've always been a fan of Grady's for fast-food style BBQ. Never have been disappointed that I can recall, but today my wife ordered a brisket sandwich. It was tough to the point that she opted to bring it home and finish eating it - she was embarrassed to sit there and have people watch her pull at it.

The manager did ask her how her meal was as she was getting a to go box and she told him. He was very apologetic but did not spring for a free meal, but at least he knows. Just surprising - she wasn't complaining to get something, but he asked and she let him know. Usually, a manager will do something like give you a coupon or something. Either way, the rest of the meal just fine and we always love Grady's.

Order Up - Stone Oak

I got there, stood in line for 15 minutes. My gf asks me what I am ordering, I tell her nothing. There is really nothing healthy here to eat. We argue back in forth (this always happens as I don't eat junk food) and she orders 3 tacos with chicken and a soda.

We sit outside, beautiful day and proceed to wait 25 minutes for 3 tacos with 4 small slices of chicken in each shell. She eats 2 Tacos, I eat the other picking the chicken out of it..lol

The place seems to be run by High School kids, very slow service. I think this place would be better suited if we called it "Order Slow."

I love Grady's it's one of my fav places, but is it me or is the food not really BBQ? This goes for most BBQ joints here is SA. I never see any grills within the establishment, never smell anything cooking. Which leads me to believe they use some sort of electronic smoking device and bake their meat. Then smother it with BBQ sauce..

My family and I ate there last Thursday for the first time. Although we liked our food (we got burgers, my daughter got a veggie burger), I see what you are talking about as far as kids running the place. I had to tell the "manager" that the Dr Pepper machine was not dispensing the syrup and he was like, okay thanks for telling me. He then stood there. I got after him and said, "Are you going to fix it, or do I need to pick another drink!" He got moving real quick after that.

Subway.

When I eat out for lunch while at work, I almost always go to Subway (it is the cheapest).

I ate at Picante Grill on Broadway this weekend. I was really surprised how good it was. Its definitely one of the better Mexican restaurants I've been to this year.
