The Lo Mein noodles were plentiful and tasty, and I liked the crunchy texture of the veggies with excellent blend of seasoning. A truly delicious dish. The restaurant is a gem, and I am very happy that I discovered it.
Golden Bowl is open Mon-Sat 11-3 for lunch and 5-8 for dinner. No credit cards.

Enjoy it while it's there. I found this on Loopnet: "2032 Austin Hwy... Existing Chinese Restaurant looking to sell the entire business. All equipment and furniture included. Excellent opportunity for an entrepreneur."

So his is going to be the first to try Insignia @ The Fairmount (Jason Dandy's new spot). Anyone?
Le Midi also opened downtown. Anyone? It is in the Vault building where the bad sushi place was.

Billy Gene's in Kerrville.
I think that the next time I'm in Kerrville I will stick with Mamacita's.

Thursday - Cafe Nyo Shii in the Medical Center - typical slow service (sushi came out after our entrees were finished) and goofball waiter but great as usual
Friday - El Gallito de Jalisco - typical good, cheap simple texmex fare
Saturday - Cool Cafe at Vance Jackson / De Zavala - had my friend dry heaving on the ride home and my ass glued to the toilet the rest of the day. Won't be going back for a LONG while.
Saturday night - Alamo Drafthouse - not sure what's going on with this place, but they're really starting to jerk around the portion sizes. Service was really off, too. Will be heading out to the Rialto next time.

I'm not sure. I have asked for the recipe (thru email) but they won't give it out. I know it is sour cream and guacamole. They get the funky green color from food coloring. I got that info from a girl who used to work there, and my boss, he is good friends with the owner.
