Il Sogno is normally great w/ service. It is Sand Bar that leaves a lot to be desired in the front of house.

Good to see they're running smoothly now and seem to have fixed some of the opening jitters. *thumbs up*

Jwebtx...it's the same place, different owners, who bought all the recipes from the previous owner. Come back and feast on your baked Alaska oatmeal!

I'm sharing a dark secret...this morning I feasted on an Egg McMuffin and cawfee from Mickey D's. The McMuffin was so-so...a little bit stale. McD's used to have the best breakfast sandwiches, but not anymore, I guess. So, from now on I'll just have my usual latte at Starbucks.

The Austin Highway breakfast taco tour continues! Tried the just opened GALATA (across from the fire station), can't recommend. Torts were semi hard and fillings were on the small side. Chorizo had an odd taste and not enough egg.

I have stopped a number of times at the taco truck at Austin Highway @ Eisenhauer, pretty good breakfast tacos, made fresh but I prefer the gorditas and pastor tacos. Of course, it is not always there...

You may want to ask the taco truck worker if they have an actual restaurant. I have seen some restaurants that have their taco truck behind the restaurant and zoom out during their busiest taco truck times.

It could 2 miles down. There's one restaurant near my complex that does this. Tons of people at the taco truck at 6 pm but the same restaurant is empty at that hour.

Has anyone ever been to "Cool Cafe" downtown?

Looks like a neat place but was wondering if anyone has ever tried it.

The Cool Cafe off DeZavala is pretty good. Very tasty lunch.

Haven't been to the one downtown.

I have to admit I ate an egg muffin the other day, was in a rush to get driving.

Took visiting family to the Boardwalk Bistro for lunch. They like it. Always a good lunch spot.
