Friday lunch was Tong's Thai for me and the co-workers. It was my first time there. it was super packed as it was regular lunchtime (12:15). It was totally worth the wait and the struggle to find parking initially (we parked at the other place next door..cannot think of the name).

I loved the ambiance, I could have wandered around looking at the decor for a hours. The food was good for the lunch price. I'd love to try the thai specialties for dinner (at a higher price point). I had orange peel chicken which was better than average but I'll get something different next time.

When eating in restaurants in San Antonio are you asked Smoking or Non Smoking section? I think Mimi's is smoke free across the country but I don't know how it works in San Antionio. Thanks.

Koi Kawa - we were out that way. One of the best Japanese restaurants in town. Much superior to the Osakas and Zushi Sushi.

Get the Una-don - always great. Beats one I had in the theatre district of NYC.

I LOVE what has been done with that property and kitchen! Great spot.

In the City of San Antonio, restaurants that allow smoking must provide a separate partitioned dining room for smokers, or an outdoor dining area. There aren't too many restaurants here that have separate smoking rooms, but those that have some type of outdoor dining area are more common.

The City Council here is considering a stricter ordinance that would ban smoking altogether in restaurants, as well as bars.
