Last week, we ate at Mama's cafe on Pat Booker. Service was horrid, as our server walked by us about 8 times or so, not noticing we needed tea refills. We had to stop another waitress to get refills. I had the Electric Hog sandwich, which was amazing, and I guess my onion rings would have been really good had they not been cold. We had a coupon, so I didn't complain too much, but I don't know if I'd go back. I guess the reason was because they had a private party, but there wasn't a whole lot of other people in the restaurant.

Goro's Sushi last night.

Second time in 2 months. Very disappointing. Two of us split a tempura dinner and a delux sushi combo.

Again the Tempura was tepid as it had sat at the kitchen and the coating was not light and thin. Instead it was a bit thick and heavy, like the batter had thickened up while sitting. They need to either cover the batter or just add a little water to the batter to thin it out. The batter is essential in this case.

The sushi looked tired. 2 of the tuna pieces looked torn and were not cut properly. Most of then tasted water logged. Except for the Salmon which was sea sweet and tasty, the others were disappointments including the fake crab (took one bite) and 3 steamed shrimp (ate the shrimp, left the rice) which one of them looked like it had been mashed with the side of a chefs knife.

Someone needs to check the food coming out and make adjustments. Hope it comes back like they used to be.

The Cove Friday night.
Great. Blue Bison burger and a couple of fish tacos. My wife and I split the burger and each had a taco.

I really like going there. Very close for us and great beer selection.

Hu Hot on DeZavala and 10. Mongolian style beef, chicken, pork, sausage.....everything was fresh and very good! All you can eat, just pile everything you want into a bowl or two.....noodles, vegetables, and more...pour on whatever sauces you like, from mild to wild. The cooks work their magic and serve it to you steaming hot. Will return for sure!

Lisa's Mexican Restaurant, located on the intersection of Bandera and Woodlawn. Ate lunch on Friday and it was great! The decor is very nice and the prices are very reasonable. Restaurant moved locations from their West Commerce location near OLLU.
Menu said Award Winning Cheese Enchiladas and it was true; very delicious! Others in my group ordered fish tacos and were happy with their selection.
