OMG I had completely forgotten about Lisa's!
Best breakfast tacos ever. Of course, that was back in the eighties. Glad to hear they're still going strong.

El Jarro De Arturo last night. I had heard a lot and read a lot of good things about this place. I was not impressed and can finally cross it off the list to try and will not be going back.

Sorry your El Jarro experience sucked, blizzrd.

It's 100% hit or miss on service - I simply sit where I know the waiter and can feel free to say 'Hey - get me another margarita'

The best dishes are the unexpected - rolled salmon, chicken marsala, off-menu suggestions from waiters...

It's not that it sucked...it's just that it was nothing to go back for. The service was fine, my wife liked her green chile enchiladas, but the cheese with meaty chili that I had were just....meh. It sucks that the blanco cafe on blanco and 1604 closed. That was my go-to place when I wanted good enchiladas.

Blanco closed?!?! Why can't anything stay open in that location?

You liked it? What did you get? I always thought it was so so...the only thing it was good for was the $.99 tacos in the morning. I'd get them on the way home from work but it's been a while. It used to be called Tequila Mexican Grill or something like that. I never really thought of it as a restaurant because it has a drive-thru.

Caparelli's on N. Main for lunch - pretty good sausage sub, salad, tea special.
