I've been having a craving for Korean bulgogi lately. I want to go to Ilsong Garden on Blanco when I can. Next week, when I'm not working.

La Vie in the Alon Center for lunch. Pretty good sandwiches and dessert. Friendly staff.

Thai bistro on de zavala yesterday. Decent pad Thai only 4 levels of spiciness and I picked 3 which she said what very hot. It turned out to be pretty mild and I could have easily done 4. Would definitely go back.

came into town from Nashville this weekend to find a house to lease...(happy to say mission accomplished)...while we were there we ate at:

Taco Cabanna: wow! some of the best "fast food" that I've ever had. Brisket tacos FTW!

Alamo Cafe: not too bad but not mind blowing either, the tortillas were great.

County Line BBQ @ River Walk: terrific bbq and potato salad...not a fan of the beans.

Zio: fantastic italian. Really enjoyed their salmon caesar salad (wife had the peperoni pasta...great taste!)

The Yogurt Zone: loved the pecan praline/red velvet cake swirl!

My husband and I ate at Texas de Brazil last night. The food and service were outstanding! The salad bar had everything you could think of. It was hard not to go back for seconds. I wanted to save room for the meal since I knew I would eat a lot! The meat was about the best I've tasted at a Brazilian Steakhouse. The manager told us that they're the only ones who use mesquite charcoal to cook their meats. I've been to Chama Gaucha and Fogo de Chao. Texas de Brazil is definitely the best Brazilian Steakhouse in San Antonio.

I noticed a restaurant the other day that I had not seen before. Lisa's Mexican Food on Bandera by St. Mary's University. A big stylish restaurant that looked out of place for that area. I went on-line and read some reviews. Almost all of the reviews were positive. One review said that "This is a north-side restaurant stuck in the middle of the west side by St Mary's University." I went and had lunch there today. That last review was right on the money. I've had a lot worse Mexican food but I've had a lot better also. It reminded me of Mexican food you might get on the River Walk or the far north side in franchise-ville.

It used to be on West Commerce between the McDonald's and Our Lady of the Lake University...this location is about 3 or 4 years old give or take.

The one on 1604 and 281 is also very good. I highly recommend it.
