You do realize that with a Cheesecake Factory receipt you are entitled to free valet? Throw in a few bucks for a tip and you're set. There's still tons of free, unvarnished parking on the upper level of La Cantera (near Perry's Steakhouse) for those who have weird issues with valet.

Valet parking makes sense to me and isn't ridiculous. I think people in San Antonio are not used to paying for parking service with the abundance of parking spaces that we usually have here compared to other big cities. San Antonians generally are spoiled when it comes to parking.

I didn't know a cheesecake factory receipt gets you free valet though. That is cool but I still wouldn't eat there.

I never understood the appeal of Casa Rio. I had a business dinner there once with some visitors and they loved it but I wasn't impressed.

I ended up having to share a long table with strangers (which doesn't bother me when the food is this good).

I was told their second location is soon opening on 1604/Blanco. I'm sure it will be insanely popular out there. I told them to call me when they land Downtown.

I happened to be in the area today and I remembered your post so I stopped at this place and tried the ceviche. It was really packed so I had to share a table with strangers as well.

Wow! The ceviche was really good. No, it was the best I ever had anywhere.

El Bucanero.

To try this great ceviche. It was alright.

I've had better. Of course, while in country but since I can't go there on a daily basis, it'll do. Seafood tasted fresh. Crowd and seating thing took a lot of getting used to on my part. I'm too keen on crowds but food was good. Had the 'Mar y Tierra" and it was fantastic.
