Went to Blanco BBQ tonight. It was quite crowded, aside from the large group I was with. It was so/so bbq. I had a poboy thing the sandwich wasn't what I wanted. It was like a foot long bun with cut up sausage. I think Bill Miller's poboys are better. The fries were delish and they had a wide selection of beers and even some individually bottled little wine things. I would try it again and get something different, or smaller.

I have been there twice one good and one bad, the brisket was good when I tried it.

I'll have to give it another try.

Tycoon Flats last night. Haven't been there in years. Went with some friends. Sat outside since some still partake in the occasional cigarette. Patio was nice albeit kind of rough to navigate as I am in a wheelchair now and it's kind of uneven and awkward but it wasn't too horribly bad. I got through it. Had the mini-tykes burgers, 3 burgers with fixin's, which were very good and just thick enough. I'm a sucker for good sweet potato fries and these were killer. Beer menu expanded some, with a lot of local and Texas brews, including some I've never really heard of. I love a good IPA and Dogfish and the Real Ale Lost Gold were not too shabby along with the food and atmosphere.

I still remember when they had the huge playground and just the bar outside now with smaller playground and expanded seating, how times have changed. Wait staff was personable and helped with finding a good enough place where we could all sit comfortably. Price was good as my bill was around 20 bucks. I'd go back in a heartbeat. I dig a good burger and beer.

And on a side note, I'm looking for a place that carries Shiner Light BLONDE on draft. I remember Boston's on 1604/281 used to but they've closed and I've yet to find one. Anyone have any good leads?

I'd be surprised if The Flying Saucer didn't have it. There probably isn't a place in town with more draft taps.

I thought the exact same thing. A friend went last weekend and no dice. But from me looking online, only Shiner and Shiner Redbird.

The other place that comes to mind with many draft taps is the Yard House at La Cantera.

Their beer menu confirms that they have Shiner Light Blonde on draft.

I know Luke downtown has it, and all draft beer is half off during happy hour. Friendly Spot has had it on draft also.

So are you heading to Yard House or Luke?
