Seems everyone ignored this question, but I'm certainly curious about it, as well.

Supposedly the spicy version sells better to the jalapeno eaters around here. I have read, though, that you can request a non-spicy McChicken and get it for a dollar. I did it once but they gave me a hard time so I stopped eating them.

It's not in San Antonio, but I ate today at McAdoo's in New Braunfels. It's in the old New Braunfels Post Office, and is kind of a cool building. I was a little bit hesitant about this place because a friend who live in that area told me that it was Papadeaux wannabe. It was actually pretty good. We had the Onion Rings as an appetizer and they were incredible. I had the seafood gumbo and it was probably the best gumbo I have ever had in Texas (best one was in, ironically DC) it was freaking delicious. I then had the blackened Red Fish Ponchitrane, though it was $30 dollars, they gave you a very big redfish steak and was delicious. My wife and her sister and brother in-law had the broiled crawfish and said it was better than Papadeaux. We liked it so much that we are going back next Saturday.

My friend told me that there is another place in the same area called Captain Ben's (though not with the same nice atmosphere), that is even better. Anybody been there?

El Machito in the Quarry. I had port shank and wife had chicken. Both were grilled to perfection. Cabrito next time.

Tried Poppy's pizza on Blanco, great pizza and the owners are from NYC and the nicest people you can meet. The pizza was just right and the garlic bread actually had real garlic in it. Highly recommend it.

Blanco BBQ. Went to eat there after work this past Saturday. The brisket was okay, what really spoiled my experience was that a little kid next to me tossed his cookies!
