Yeah, I have not eaten there in a couple of years.
Last time I went the burgers were so greasy I couldn't take it.
It's definitely not what it used to be.

Don't know what this location's problem is, but, the Longhorn Cafe in Leon Springs has always been one of my " go to " places for a good burger. Always consistant, always fresh and tasty. Can't remember ever getting bad food there.

off-menu. It's a spicy seafood stew.

But yes, sometimes I get a baby octopus atop with two shrimp, sometimes no octopus and one shrimp.
Service is usually sketchy, but they don't seem to take offense at me standing up to flag them down.
this.

their Jjampong is the bee's knees. Yeah, the place looks like a wood-paneled double-wide from 1982, but the food is so damned good that it's worth it.

Li's Chinese restaurant on Stone Oak and Huebner. Pretty good for the one dish I had. Will try again.

The Granery @ The Pearl Brewery. (Brew & Cue)
The reviews I had read were wonderful so we wanted to give it a try. It was difficult to find it open and get a reservation which only added to our desire to try it out.

When you factor in the difficulty of getting in, the food, and the PRICE, it was a huge disappointment. We will never return.
There were 4 of us. We ordered 3 pulled turkey sandwiches, 1 platter which came with 2 sides and the fattest brisket I had ever seen, 2 sides, 3 ice teas. $61.75
The flavor of the turkey was so hot one person could not eat it as were the baked beans. 40% of the brisket was fat which of course no one is expected to eat.
Pass on the $3.00 ice tea if you plan on using artificial sweetener. They do not have it in the building. Period. It's a shame they don't mention that when you are ordering.
It is self serve. Walk thru the line and order and pick it up at the window.

I hope you enjoy the place more than my family. We will gladly give our table to you!

I've been driving past that place for ages, and was always hesitant to try it because of how it looked (and I love hole-in-the-wall dives). I'll have to check it out if y'all say it's that good.

La Fogata on Vance Jackson
Visiting friend had heard about it and wanted to go.

Her shredded chicken taco tasted dangerous weird so she ate some of my two-meat enchiladas.

They should rename the place La Forgettable el Pricey.

LaFogata has not been the same since Jesse Cavallos sold it. Next time, go to So Luna on Broadway which is his establishment.

Just make sure you know your dishes, or you'll be left to floundering on your own.
