Ditto - we dropped them as the food and service has been less than stellar. Their entrees are weak.

I just ask because Red Lobster was good back in the day (when I was a kid).
After Darden started over-managing them and implementing their bean-counting policies it went downhill though.

We haven't been to Red Lobster in many years. Disappointing last time we went. Had Laguna Madre Monday. Decent fish , shrimp and oysters.

Management changes kill restaurants. Luby's went to hell when they changed their management practices.

To ALL,

PETE'S TAKO HOUSE on Brooklyn & a block & a half off Broadway. = GREAT FOOD & if you avoid the NOON rush, the service is wonderful.
(PETE's is my "roomie" & my favorite Tex-Mex place in SA.)

FYI, PETE'S is VERY CROWDED & NOISY from about 1130-1300 every weekday.

yours, tex

Agree. Pete's has been my go-to for awhile. Best caldo in town.

They get super busy and word to the wise, avoid the back room. It's like sitting in a prison cell. Windowless and cinderblock walls.

Went through the drive-thru at Frontier Burger today. The burger was not the best I have ever had, but good. I do like they wrap it. I loved their onion rings though although they were greasy, they were really yummy!

I don't recall it being greasy but I can certainly name a few greasy pizza places. I did eat only wings myself which were so..so.

Lunch at the Power Plant in Sequin. Scenery and service was good. Food was so ..so. Not SA but on the way home from Houston.

Had a terrible experience at El Bucanero, their newest location off of 281, yesterday.

The eatery was not more than 20% full and those who walked in from the parking lot ahead of me were seated immediately. When approaching the hostess, she looked at me, put her head back down and said the wait would be 25 minutes.

It felt... Wrong. And I won't ever go back. Bucanero started as a fantastic tiny place, serving really fresh mariscos with a super friendly staff. They now have the charm of a Walmart and the machine they've clearly turned into saddens me.
