Dh had them without chocolate, I had them with. Had been meaning to stop by this place for a while. Really hot and fresh, yum!
They have a killer Italian Cream cake. You get a huge wedge of it, enough for 3 people. It's so good.

OMG Burgers on Nacogdoches. Big greasy burger ( tasted good, though and was probably just a little more greasy because I ordered mine with grilled onions) We shared an order of onion rings but they were too thick cut, which my husband likes and I don't. We didn't get fries but everyone around us did and they look like 5 Guys fries to me.

There's an odd smell when you walk in so hopefully that's gone by the time we come back. Semi-sewer smell, faint but I am really sensitive to smells. I hope they make it, though. The burgers are good and they were doing a nice amount of business for lunch on a Sunday.

Magnolia Pancake House off Bitters

One couple ahead of us, then our party of three. No others waiting.

The hostess never looked up when my wife told her "party of three"- she was texting. My wife asked if she could have coffee while waiting. Without looking up, "no".

I sought out the manager and told him of the incident. He assured me she was texting someone waiting to be seated, not personally texting.

Not true. I know that when there is a wait, a text will be sent, not true this morning. Of the coffee, no response. I would have accepted that no coffee in the waiting area due to spillage or some BS answer. He offered nothing.

Our service and food was very good, but i wonder if they are not resting on their prior hype and no longer need be concerned?

The warden and I were out and about today and stopped in at Laguna Madre on Westover and 151. The food was good as usual but I got served with something I didn't want- moonpie. A lady and man came and sat down next to us. The lady looked like she had an injury as she was moving slow for a close to 40 year old. She sat down and they started talking and then she got up, turned around to him and dropped her pants. No, not just the pants, everything, and then started with the hands all over her now bare azz. Had she been good looking, I probably wouldn't have complained but now I have moon burn I'll probably never get over. Food right now just doesn't appeal to me. All I can see is..........and her playing digger O'Dell. It was not good!

Did you inquire of the manager as to the availability of crabs?

MPH hasn't been great for a long while. The last two times I went I got half-cooked pancakes. They were basically raw in the middle... Disgusting.

I won't go back. Much better places in this town for a reliable breakfast
