Went to Hungry Farmer on SW Military for lunch. It was packed. The salad looked home grown. They have three dressings on the table. Thousand Island, Ranch and Green Garlic. I think it used to be called something else. The meal was good--very filling--I couldn't finish my Hamburger steak with onions nor could the person I was with finish her Chicken Fried Steak. Chicken fried Steak is getting harder to find--maybe thats a good thing. It was good and what I would expect. When I think of where to find a Chicken Fried Steak, I can only think of a few places. The Tip Top, Luby's, Chilies, Cracker Barrel, Jim's, Denny's, Bud Jones, Mamma's. Can anyone think of any other places?

I was impressed with Chili's chicken fried steak but then I don't eat out a lot these days, so don't have much to compare it to.

She hates Chili's now because they quit making the "Bloomin Onion" . We always took most of it home but sometimes I would get one for Football Parties.

I won't lie, I went to the run of the mill italian that is Olive Garden, but the last or I should say my favorite since I've moved to SA has been Chama Gaucha, want to try the newly opened Fogo de Chao to see how it compares.
