Yea the mosquitos are so bad right now and I enjoy sitting on my patio. I found a yard and patio spray that works really well, by bengal. It keeps from having to put OFF on myself as I just spray the patio, under the chairs and table and voila!

I don't know what would work outside, other than using a yard spray when you are panning outdoor activities. There's no reason the bags of water should work, but I know lots of people who swear by them.

At my apt I have a big indoor problem, sometimes if I open the doors for more than a minute, the place fills up with them. Flypaper didn't work, I don't like sprays and a using a flyswatter took forever. I found that they would gather in the sunlight on the windowsills, so I use my vacuum attachment to suck them up! It works great, the slower you move it, the better

I know this is a fly thread, but has anyone been experiencing a sudden outbreak of flying cockroaches? I have not seen any bugs in a year, but in the last two days at least 10 flying roaches have buzzed the back patio and another 6 have gotten into the house. Needless to say, they make me want to vomit. Thank god my roommate isn't afraid to use his flipflop (whereas I scream and run into the bathroom and shut the door ). There is nothing that gives me the heebie jeebies like flying cockroaches. Do you think the recent rain reactivated some hibernating eggs or do these things pop up for some other reason?

haha! Thank goodness for those hose attachments. I've had a random wasp come in through the chimney. That's what I use to get rid of them. Works wonders!

I haven't noticed flies....but I imagine the drought has had some kind of impact.
