[quote=ashbeeigh;9076278]I'm really not sure about the schools in the area, but that's nothing a quick search on greatschools.com cannot fix. /quote]

I didn't know about this site, thanks!

Yep, I agree with Helotes area. I love the area-although I cannot afford to live there, I live right inside 1604 look and it is a nice area. large homes with nice yards. I am not a realtor, but I drive around there sometimes-let me know if you want me to send some pics or find the realtor who is in that area.

You may want to consider the city of New Braunfels. Its about 15 minutes northeast of San Antonio. Great small town feel with all the amenities and so close to S.A. and not too far from Austin. You can visit the city's website to learn more... New Braunfels, TX - Official Website If you have any other questions, let me know, I've lived in New Braunfels for 25 years.

15 minutes with no traffic to the northeast side of SA. 45 minutes to the south side of Austin

Since my husband will be working in northern San Antonio, I need to keep his commute in mind (less than 30 mins.) Are there any neighborhoods that fit my "wish list?"

Any help with neighborhood suggestions is GREATLY appreciated

Have you looked @ www.forsalebyowner.com ?

i'm not recommending using them as realtors (or really any realtor) but bradfield properties has the best property search around:

Bradfield Properties sells real estate in San Antonio, Boerne, Bulverde, New Braunfels, Kerrville, Highland Lakes, and the surrounding Texas hill Country. (http://www.bradfieldproperties.com/property/ - broken link)
