Jason's Deli and Panera Bread usually have at least half a dozen kinds of fresh soup on the menu.

El Mirador is famous for their soups. I think they have one or two every day, but soup primetime is definitely the weekend. They do sopa de lima, sopa azteca, caldo xochitl, and several others.

I am also a fan of Taco House's caldos when I am too lazy to make my own.

W.D. Deli on Broadway has YUMMY soups. I love that place - I have lunch there at least two Saturdays a month, although it isn't anywhere near my 'hood.

HEB Central Market deli has a changing variety of soups to go. They are pricey, but you can taste before you buy

La Madeline has an awesome tomato basil soup! I used to enjoy it all the time last time I lived here (10 years ago), but haven't made it there yet since my move back. Its on my list. To remember soup after 10 years, its gotta be good!

I thought about La Madeline right after I posted about Central Market (it's accoss the street)! I like their cream of mushroom.

Green has great soups, they feature a different soup each day.

I had a rotten experience at Joseph's - but I have heard good things about their potato soup...
