I didn't say soccer was completely safe. Any sport has a risk of injury. I don't know that I would count it as any riskier than any other sport though.
Soccer doesn't have near the concussion rate of football however.

Actually, I'd venture to say that it DOES if you look at it vs the number of folks playing the game. It's just that it's not that common still in the US vs football, so we don't see it as much.

I'm not sure at what level you are measuring, but last I saw there were more kids playing soccer in the US than any other sport.
More people in the world play soccer than any other sport.

I don't really want to risk a debate of soccer vs. football, because I like both. I just think it's clear that a sport where every play over a dozen players are hitting each other, (often in the head) is going to have a higher incidence of head injury than one that has head hits happen rarely in youth soccer or a few times a game at the professional level.

How about we get back to the topic. With the Minnesota Vikings getting the funding they needed from the state to build a new dome it looks like San Antonio getting an NFL team has been pushed to the back burner again. That is if the city really had a chance of obtaining the Vikings franchise. Which may not have been the case.

Still there is some hope left. As San Antonio continues to grow and prosper economically the chances of the city finally getting an NFL club will only increase. If you're bullish on San Antonio as am I you have to believe this. Also the continued growth and success of UTSA football can only enhance the city's chances of getting a pro team eventually.

Keep your eye's trained on the weaker markets here in America. The NFL
is not going to expand , so you will have to steal a " team " in order to
have " a team " .

San Antonio has ZERO chance at getting another sports team.

San Antonio is perceived(and correctly so) by others as small time and borderline dirty.

Besides, San Antonio always has been and always will be Dallas Cowboys country.

Aside from Beer, Cowboys football and Spurs basketball (in that order) San Antonians care about nothing else.
