Default Can a local recommend a family friendly part of the city..

I am going to relocate to San Antonio soon. I have no idea where to look
for a house to rent (will buy later). We want a nice house in a very family friendly area (yards, kids, parks). Any ideas??
Thanks!
Brianna

The city of New Braunfels (Which is less than 15 minutes northeast of S.A.) is a very family friendly place to live. Parks, Schlitterbahn, childrens museum, YMCA, great school districts, small town feel, etc. New Braunfels, TX - Official Website for more info

What's your price range? Do schools matter?

My price range for a rental house is about $1400-$1700 per mo. We will be sending our child to a Catholic elementary, so it would be great it there was one nearby, but I am okay with a short drive to one. Thanks!

San Antonio is a pretty spread out city. Does being close to work also matter? Have you researched any of the Catholic schools?
