SA Grindhouse connection?
So, I saw "Grindhouse" last night, the Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez double feature, well, I started thinkin', "Hmm, well, Robert Rodriguez is from San Antonio, he's late 30's, a horror/sci-fi buff, so he MUST have watched the old Project Terror on local late night TV. So, did he crib the title
"Planet Terror" from "Project Terror?" (mentioned on the thread "Gone but not forgotten"). A character even dubs an ill-fated military mission "Project Terror." I searched and didn't come up with anything, but I would bet ya a 100 hundred bucks I'm right on...

I haven't seen the movie yet, but Im going to soon. A friend of mine from high school (Holmes) has a small part in the movie, that what I thought the connection was going to be.

Yeah, a friend of mine is in it too, gets killed in a hospital by ravenous zombies. I'm sure quite a bit of San Antonions were extras or have small bits in this flick. Austin is featured pretty prominantly in the film.

You didn't say if the flick was good.
Was it?
I'm a big fan of both directors but not one of horror movies. Should my admiration for these guys supersede my dislike of the genre?

It was 50/50. I liked the Rodriguez segment, but was REALLY dissapointed with Tarantino - and that's saying a lot, as I am (OR was) a huge Tarantino-fan film-geek.

I think they are going to split the films in two, due to poor showings. I'll check it out on Friday.
I couldn't pass on Rose McGowan and Rosario Dawson.
