It was something like that,
but it's completely obvious that there's some serious corruption going on over there.
You should try to get that on camera.

true it gives very little warning, but one thing i've noticed is they still have the Ka in their cars on at all times.
even though he's got the lidar gun on me, their cars are sending out warning beacons a mile away

Laser Jammer!
i dont get Lidar'd much in SA, so for now I'll stick to my V1.

Yeah, I know full well there are plenty of puffed-up yahoos on this message board who think that it's their right - but perhaps you might think differently after you've had a loved one killed by a speeder. 'nuff said.
i see your point. and i see stories in mysa daily where speed/drinking/stupidity combined into a lethal event.

but my point wasn't to encourage speeding. often the cops at these speed traps are very aggressive and ticket you for only several mph over...speeds which arent careless. i'm trying to save people a nuisance ticket, something most of us cant afford.

Find Speed Traps | Find speed traps all over the US | SpeedTrap.org (http://www.speedtrap.org/speed-traps/find - broken link)

And pretty soon, you'll find this type of technology integrated in with your cell phones and GPS devices.

And as this thread passed, I managed to get a speeding ticket this weekend.

I constantly complained there is no police presence in my area, also mentioned how I wasn't changing my reg over to Tx, and I posted this wonderful speed trap map too. I guess karma bit me in the rear end, I didn't knock on wood hard enough.

Anyone know any good traffic lawyers?

Because its still breaking the law if you go over the posted speed limit

Yeah you stll get the Ka alert because the Radar is Integrated in some vehicles, and Radar Provides a 360degree coverage radius. While Lidar, the cop has to get on his feet, pop his trunk pick up the laser gun, aim, and shoot the beam. I guess a lazy cop would just sit in his car running the AC (full blast at the expense of the taxpayers) and wait for his prey.

You missed my point and that was most people buy detectors so they can speed more than 5-10 miles over the limit and hopefully, not get caught. Why do you think they're illegal in many states?
