Hi gang. Searched for a speed trap thread, didn't find one.

Ever since the WB 90 access road was repaved, SAPD sets up shop under the overpass to Old 90. Taking the Lackland/Military exit, just over the slight hill, there they are and its darn near daily. Its a serious trap, too, with multiple cars, Lidar, and radar. My Valentine V1 picks them up nicely....but they catch alot of folks....mostly leaving Lackland!

Stay safe out there.

Once the school year is over and the school zones don't need to be watched, we enter speed enforcement season in San Antonio.

What school zones do they watch? I've rarely EVER seen one in a school zone, as people are whizzing by flipping me off since I'm only doing 20. Babcock and Spring Time comes to mind, especially, but even in my neighborhood there is an elementary at one end and a middle school at the other. Granted, the traffic is so congested at the elementary school that it really doesn't need policing, but still.....

My little (whatever it was you referred to me RD) radar detector is a fantastic reminder to watch my speed at appropriate times...one speeding ticket in my entire life and plan on that being the one and only if I can help it.

I see amazingly regular enforcement of the school zone at Eisenhower MS on Blanco. But I have never seen enforcement of the zone at Churchill HS, a mile to the north on Blanco.

well radar will soon be replaced by Lidar, and the radar detectors will be useless, yes they will still warn you, but Lidar is almost next to impossible to drop your speed back to the limit, as by the time you react to your detectors warning, the cop will already have your speed. but there is hope... two words.. Laser Jammer!

I used to work around that area and went thru that school zone practically everyday. One day a blue lancer was practically on top of me, but Im not going any faster than 20mph - this dude actually followed me to my work parking lot, pulls up next to me and gets all up in my face calling me every name in the book. I dont understand why he just didnt go around me since everyone else was going 45-50 with no regard for the school zone or the kids walking to school.

Sometims I would see a cop on a motorcyle down the hill by that Baptist Church.
