Take them to Woodlawn Lake.....and then let them swim in the public pool there.

Lake Tahoe is nice I here. Seriously, they are all way down right now. Just off of the top of my head I would say maybe Canyon would have the most water but that's just a guess. A lot depends on what you want to do there. Boating? Camping? Fishing?

Doesn't it get crazy crowded? And I'd rather leave town and make it a day trip.

Go to Landa Park in New Braunfels ... Comal River and a nice little swim area but gets crowded in the afternoons sometimes, train, paddle boats, ducks, etc. Shallow water. All that being said ... I'm not sure if any ROT Rally events are near there this weekend but it is an awesome place to go!
